LIMERICK OF THE LOO

by Clancy O’Lafferty

Now who is the lout who says limericks are out?

Who says that a rhyme doesn’t matter?

Let him march to the mall

and the men’s room wall

he can read while he empties his bladder.

For limericks abound with wisdom profound,

and with mysteries they help us to cope,

Such as: “Why look up here

while you drain off your beer?

In your hand is where you’ll find the joke.”

Here at Clancy O’Laffe’s there’s a tall red-haired lass,

trained to coax from you all of your money.

Ah…….Erin go bragh!

 “These sinks are too low,

and the soap is too hard and smells funny!”
